男主角（Daniel Powter）是一个失意的拳击手，白天坚持训练晚上则到处寻找兼职工作以维持生计。刚刚与男朋友分手的女主角在餐馆遇到了男主角，并对其产生好感，之后意外发现了男主角在地下室刻苦训练，被男主角的坚持与执着打动，决心走出情场失意的阴影。
